Major Goal #1
The church has decided to substantially renovate existing facilities and move forward with building here on the property. More details to come.

Major Goal #2
Major Goal #2 also met twice in the latter part of 2020. They are restructuring and reviving the golf cart ministry to be led by volunteers. The inreach team is forming a welcome team to help visitors find seats and direct them to Sunday School, and they are also contacting inactive and unattending members. Major Goal #2 is also researching Sunday School curriculum.

Next Level is a church-wide initiative to define where we are today and where our ministries can go tomorrow. There are two major goals and a communication strategy. Major Goal #1 is centered on renovating existing facilities or moving/building a new facility by 2024. Major Goal #2 is centered on redesigning our ministry strategy and structure to focus on discipling families. 

Next Level is a church-wide initiative that anyone can be a part of. We need help in becoming the church that is ready to effectively minister both now and in the future and the church body plays an important role in taking those next steps.

Yes! The Canton area population is growing as we continue to be a retirement destination for many. On top of retirement growth there are more families coming!  Exceeding that growth, there is already a large number of unchurched people living around us. Progress on both of our major goals will enable us to continue to reach people in our community and beyond. 

As we are Becoming Christ Centered, we develop a desire to make the greatest impact possible in our community and beyond.  We are commanded to reach people with the gospel and disciple them. Matthew 28:16-20 But, we as a church need help in becoming the church that is ready to effectively minister both now and in the future. We believe that the time is right for us to enter into a church-wide season of discernment where we look at how we can most effectively reach these folks for the Kingdom.  This examination includes defining where we are today and where we see FBC Canton’s ministries tomorrow.

You can also pray for our teams to have clarity, unity, and fruitful discussions as we move forward seeking God’s will and where He is guiding this body of believers.
