The members of First Baptist Church voted to call Dr. Hearon as Pastor at the close of the Sunday morning services, October 28, 2007. He has been serving as Interim Pastor at FBC since April 22nd, 2007. Dr. Hearon recently retired as Executive Director of the Dallas Baptist Association where he served for over 21 years. A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Dr. Hearon answered the call to preach at the age of 16. He earned degrees from Baylor University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Dallas Baptist University. He has 24 years experience as a Pastor, serving churches in North Carolina and Texas. He is married to the former Paula Jensen of Littlefield, Texas. The Hearons have three children and four grandchildren. Dr. Hearon began his full-time ministry on December 1st, 2007.
