The Educational Ministries at First Baptist are "Christ-centered," and based upon God's Word, which is our authority and guide. Every believer has been gifted by God through the Holy Spirit, and it is our desire to instruct and guide those believers in the exciting process of discovering their respective gifts and utilizing them to serve the Lord Jesus Christ through the ministries of the local church. The best avenue to ensure that each believer is growing in their faith in the Lord is through a small group Bible study or Sunday School. Sunday School is a place where relationships are strengthened and motivation is found to serve our fellow man. The Sunday School is the outreach arm of the local church and it is the place where poeple can meet Christ through the influence of friends who will love and care for them.
Discipleship is an on-going ministry process at FBC Canton. Classes, seminars, and other enrichment events are offered throughout the year to help believers grow and mature into Christlikeness. We offer groups on Wednesday evenings, Sunday afternoons and weekdays to meet the needs of people who desire to advance in their spiritual walk with the Lord. Gender-specific classes are available during the school year as well as summer.
